The cord is absolutely huge, but not unmanageable. I really like how these headphones fit and feel, great for extended use. This sound quality is great.A great cheap pickup. worth trying.
I wanted a pair just to supplement ear buds at work - I hate eating or talking while wearing ear buds - so these at least give you ability to hear some surroundings. They do have an "hear the ocean" negative - they are Tinny - too much treble but they are big enough to wear for hours - they might be a bit quiet - I noticed I have to turn ipod volume way up, to get right MIX. Good for the price though
i had so hoped that these headphones would solve the problem. while the sound quality is great, i can hear every single thing that goes on.
we also have 4 computers, and one tv which can double as a PC screen. our family has 6 people-4 teenagers, two adults.
i *thought* that getting headphones for myself would solve the problem.i was wrong. so things are loud around here, to say the least.
I wear shooters ear muffs a *great deal*, because of the racket of all the noise (yes, we have tried earphones for the other PCs, but you know how destructive kids are). as a disabled person, i cant just jump up and leave the room when things get irritating.
they dont.if you live alone, they will be perfect for you.
Can comfortably watch Movies from the bed now.Cons:Plastic design. They are EXCELLENT considering I spent so little. Bought these headphones over a year ago now. It's not terribly important if you can keep your things in good shape, however these won't take to being thrown around or anything too well. Pros:Good sound quality, Bass and everything. Over Ear design eliminates pain (wearing glasses + headphones usually results in pain)Long cord - for once headphones with a cord long enough to travel across my room. I broke on minor price of plastic on them so far in the past year, luckily it was a part that didn't effect the usability or aesthetics of the unit.Quite possibly the best set of headphones I've ever used for the price point. Highly suggested - just don't expect Sennhauser.
All I know is that I would often take them on and off just to make sure that I had the speakers turned to 'headphones' because the sound was so clear that I could swear I'd forgotten and it was filling the whole room (I usually watch movies at night so I don't want to wake anyone up).The cord is very durable and long, though it's the reason why I had to replace them with another Sony pair today. I know that a lot of people are like me and they buy things like sound equipment without knowing any of the details or specifics, so I thought I'd offer that perspective on these headphones. Whenever I'd wear them I'd have to move them every half hour or so because the bands were digging into my scalp. I think the sound quality is really excellent, though like I said, I don't know any of the technical details of sound quality. It has to have been at least a year and half, and for this price I'd call them a great buy for someone like me who doesn't want any fuss or muss and just wants to watch the movie now. Also, I wear eyeglasses to watch movies so the fit was a little tight where the stems sat above my ears; it always required a bit of adjustment.
:(But they did last quite a long time, I think. They're decently comfortable to wear except they'd be perfect if there was some kind of cushion under the band that goes across the top of your head. The wire going into the left speaker just all of a sudden stopped working, right in the middle of an episode of Glee. The cushions sit on the ears very well, though. They cancel out quite a lot of noise without actually cutting off all sound, like if the phone rings. I actually don't remember when I bought them.
